Gentry Hale
Gentry is a freelance travel writer and environmental journalist from Salt Lake City, Utah. Her areas of expertise include adventure travel, luxury travel, environmental science, land management, outdoor recreation, wildlife and conservation.
Gentry’s writing can be found in National Geographic, Islands, Trails Magazine, STAB Magazine, Business Insider, Bugle Magazine, GetYourGuide, Snowboarder Magazine, Wasatch Magazine, The Montana Kaimin and more. She has worked as an editor for Bugle Magazine, Byline Magazine and Montana PBS, and has produced copy for hundreds of companies worldwide.
Gentry studied environmental sustainability and creative writing at the University of Utah before receiving her master’s degree in environmental journalism from the University of Montana. Whether she’s following musk oxen across the Alaskan tundra, running from bulls in Pamplona, Spain, or performing the Australian Bush Dance with Sherpas at the base of Mount Everest, she feels most at home when she’s not at home.
